Why Whole-Ground Krill Is the Most Sustainable Choice

We’ve partnered with an MSC-certified supplier that puts conservation first. Their innovative Eco-Harvesting® system brings krill onboard through a covered hose rather than trawling or lifting nets, preventing unnecessary by-catch of birds, seals, and other marine life. It’s one of the most responsible ways krill can be harvested.
We also choose the most eco-conscious form of krill: whole-ground krill. Traditional krill oil extracts the fat and discards the rest of the organism — a huge amount of waste and a missed nutritional opportunity. By using the entire krill, we capture the full nutrient matrix (omega-3s, phospholipids, astaxanthin, choline, and marine proteins) and dramatically reduce waste. It’s a richer, more complete form of marine nutrition that’s cleaner, more sustainable, and better absorbed.
Choosing whole-ground krill supports healthier oceans, uses every part of the catch, and ensures pets get the complete benefits krill naturally offer.

When to Use Pure Krill

When to Use Pure Krill

For Daily Antioxidants

Astaxanthin — the deep red pigment that gives krill its color — is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants. It helps neutralize free radicals and supports overall wellness, vitality, and healthy aging.

For Immune & Heart Health

Naturally occurring omega-3s (EPA & DHA) help maintain healthy immune and cardiovascular function, support comfortable joints, and nourish skin and coat health. Krill’s phospholipid-bound omegas are easier for the body to absorb and utilize than those in traditional fish oils.

For Free Radical Defense

Free radical damage contributes to cellular aging. Astaxanthin—the antioxidant naturally present in krill—helps neutralize oxidative stress and supports healthier aging inside and out.

This allows you to place your “defend against free radicals / healthy aging” messaging in a spot your template already supports

For Daily Cellular Health Support

Krill provides phospholipids, choline, and omega-3s in one naturally complete ingredient — helping support healthy cell membranes and daily body function with nutrients pets can readily use.

For Cats & Dogs Of All Ages

With just one pure ingredient and no fillers or additives, Pure Krill is safe for kittens, puppies, adults, and seniors alike — and the perfect addition to any bowl.

Just One Ingredient

Astaxanthin 180 mcg
Omega 3 93 mg
EPA 54 mg
DHA 24 mg

Wild-Caught Antarctic krill

100% wild-caught Antarctic krill. Nothing added. No preservatives, fillers, binders, GMOs, or inactive ingredients — ever.

Pure Krill naturally delivers multiple nutrients pets rarely receive together in one source: astaxanthin, omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids, and choline.

**Astaxanthin**
Often called the king of carotenoids, astaxanthin is a uniquely powerful antioxidant that helps defend cells against free radical damage from the inside out.

**Omega-3s (EPA & DHA)**
Essential fatty acids carnivores cannot produce on their own. They help maintain a healthy inflammatory response and support daily heart, immune, and whole-body function.

**Phospholipids**
Unlike traditional fish oils, krill naturally binds omega-3s to phospholipids — a structure the body recognizes and uses efficiently, helping those fats reach the cells where they matter most.

**Choline**
A naturally occurring nutrient that supports healthy cell membranes and plays an important role in brain, liver, and cardiovascular function.

Because we use the whole krill body, pets receive more than isolated oil alone — keeping more of what krill naturally offers beyond omega-3s.

Wild-Caught Antarctic krill

Pure Krill

vs The Rest

Pure Krill delivers omega-3s in their most bioavailable form — phospholipids — plus astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant not found in fish oils. Because we use the whole krill bodies left after oil extraction, pets get a fuller nutrient profile with less processing, less waste, and more naturally occurring benefits than with isolated oils or krill chews.
Krill sit at the bottom of the food chain, so they naturally accumulate far fewer heavy metals and environmental contaminants than salmon oil or pollock oil. Combined with MSC-certified, Eco-Harvesting® sourcing, Pure Krill provides cleaner, more complete, and more responsible marine nutrition.

How to Feed

How to feed Pure Krill
  • Scoop the proper portions of Pure Krill found below into the bowl daily. You can add it right to the top of every meal. The key is consistency, so feed it twice daily, every day per the instructions.
  • To feed it as a treat, scoop the proper dosage into an ice cube tray, add water or broth, and freeze. Give twice a day.
  • After every use, push the air out of the bag, tie it up, and put the lid on tight to avoid any oxidation. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Why Give it Every Day?

Omega-3s and antioxidants don’t stay in the body long-term — they need to be replenished daily. Pure Krill delivers EPA, DHA, and astaxanthin in a phospholipid form the body uses efficiently, helping support healthy cells, immune resilience, and whole-body vitality over time.
